We all know that you need to follow content restriction and honor China firewall while working with content. For that you need to keep your data and server in China only.
I was working on a project for a client based in China. it was a travel website and open to world. But there was no cloud which was serving to entire world including AWS and Azure back in 2015 (it may be now also).
We had no option but to host site at two places, one for users in China and other for rest of the world. At that time Alibaba cloud was new and we selected it server China region and were evaluating AWS cloud for rest of the world but project was delayed and we came to know in 2016 that Alibaba is serving in USA also and it was possible to replicate content/database.
This way Alibaba cloud helped us to deliver project.
